The environment that hosts individuals living under institutional care is crucial for their development, mental health as well as their social integration. It is necessary for these spaces, that form temporary homes, to evoke warmth and security, while at the same time to be able to serve the needs of a modern caring unit and a forge a strong relationships with their communities.
For the first time in Greece, Mum Institute has created a partnership between architecture, art and design with the purpose of activating social responsibility through in kind donations, research and interior renovations of the shelters.
The team of collaborators of the Social Architecture program of Mum Institute consists of internationally renowned professionals, such as: Anso Studio, doxiadis+, BlueCycle, Eleftheria Deko Lighting Design and Urban Soul Projects.
