For the last two years G. has been attending a school for special educational needs where she is taking cooking lessons, while her dream has always been to work at a restaurant with homemade and delicious food – of course she also really likes ice-cream!

Through completing Mum Institute’s Professional Empowerment Program for the girls living under the care of Paidopoli Agia Varvara, G. visited the pastry shop épik gelato and the restaurant Pizza Flower for a job shadowing session. 

During her visit at épik gelato the pastry chef of the patisserie showed G. all the steps of ice-cream production and created together with her the base from which all ice-cream flavors are made.  

Continuing G.’s visit at Flower Pizza, the general manager of the pizzeria showed her all the different operational procedures of the restaurant, and under the pizzeria’s chef she prepared and baked her own pizza, which she joyfully shared with everyone along with the other delicious food of the restaurant, sitting at the garden of Mavili Square.
