Mum Institute organized a ginger-house making workshop and distributed Christmas gifts at the shelter Pugad of The Home Project
After organizing the tie dye workshop at Home Project’s community building event, Mum Institute was welcomed for the first time at the shelter Pugad, where we organized a Christmas workshop in which the children made ginger-bread houses which they decorated with all kinds of candies. The workshop was followed by giving out Christmas gifts to all the kids.
The Home Project is a non-profit organization founded to meet the needs of refugee children who arrive in Greece unaccompanied. Children living on the streets, in camps, police stations, and detention centers find refuge in the safe environment of the shelters, where they are provided with a holistic framework of child protection services with the ultimate goal of social integration.
We would like to thank Sophia Kouvelakis and the entire team of The Home Project for the warm welcome, Daphne Fourli and IKEA for ginger-bread house as well as Anya Yapanis and Intrepid London for supporting the Christmas gifts.
