The next job shadowing of Mum Institute’s Professional Empowerment program for Paidopoli Agia Varvara took place at the Hotel Grande Bretagne. N. is interested in tourism and hotel professions, so the choice of one of the most historic and recognised hotels in Athens was ideal!

Christina Matsaki, Director of People Development & Learning, welcomed N. and alongside with the friendly reception staff explained to her how the Reception and Reservations Departments work. N. then spent much of the day at the hotel’s spa, where the Spa Manager showed her around the facilities and presented the treatments on offer. After a break in the hotel’s staff restaurant, N. received the necessary information about the Concierge Department as well as from the Human Resources. At the end of the tour of all the hotel’s sections, Christina Matsaki solved all N.’s questions and provided her with information regarding studies and the prospect of career development in the tourism and hospitality sector.
